Father’s Day Weekend

This weekend was so much fun. Per usual, it went by way too fast, but alas, time is just flying by these days. We had everyone over for Father’s Day but I kicked off the weekend by attending a shoe clinic at a new local running store, that I love, Legacy Running Company.

It was really informative and helpful to me, even though I love the shoes I run in. I was tempted to buy some new cute tops, but alas, restrained myself. I didn’t win a raffle prize either. Oh well, I will be visiting again soon, I’m sure. They also have run clubs and run meet ups at the store, which is nice to always run with others.

Sunday started off with this.

Seriously, the biggest babies in the world. We had everyone over for lunch for Father’s Day and it was so much fun. I seriously love having people over at our house and making little decorations. So this weekend I made “tie-bunting”. It was really easy and fun.

We had sliders, potato salad, fruit salad and of course at all our family events we had guacamole. It was excellent. Finish off with Brownies and ice cream, YUM.

I ran Saturday morning and went to the gym and Sunday I took the day off. My legs have been a little bit tired lately, but not too bad. I’m going for a run after work today and am loving this hot weather. I love running when it’s so warm out. I might be a minority but nothing makes you feel like you are getting work done than coming home after a run all sweaty and gross. Bring on the summer sun!

And thanks so much for the paw print gift idea. I made one for my husband (from the dog) and he loved it!

The tie bunting is the cutest thing ever! And LOVE that you have Sriracha on the table :)

  5. I totally agree with you on the hot running thing. I have always loved a good hot summer run, maybe its because for some reason I don’t feel like I get a good workout unless I’m drenched in sweat.
    Love the bunting, so cute!

That bunting is so cute! I have a really rough time running in heat, but I’ve been trying to condition myself to not be so sensitive to it.

The tie bunting is very cool! And all that guac! I die! Yum.

  8. Where did you get the idea for the tie bunting? It looks so cool and cute at the same time! I’ll definitely do one of those DIY for next father’s day!
