Zensah winner + Code for Compression Tops!

So the winner of the Zensah Long Sleeve is Danielle C from Seattle! She was number 14 out of over 300 entries. My friend picked number 14 out of 316. She responded with “Sadly it gets pretty cold up here in Seattle, yesterday I went for my run @ 11am and it was 38 degrees. I also hate to be cold, so I was all bundled up in my tights, long sleeves, gloves, and head band that keeps my ears warm. I’d probably run in a snow suit if it wasn’t so bulky…like that dorky kid on A Christmas Story.” So congrats, please email me at Danica@chicrunner.com so I can get Zensah in contact with you.

Sorry to all those who didn’t win, BUT there were some pretty hilarious comments out there! Seriously, I had mad respect for a lot of my readers. You guys are crazy with your frozen eyelashes and your crazy frost and freezing clothes stories!

There IS a code for you guys from Zensah though and I’m excited to share it with you. I wore this shirt during my race this past weekend which is my epic cold weather story now.

This weekend it was 28 degrees at the start. I had never run in weather like that, none the less I think EVER been in weather like that. I tried my hardest to stay warm, but it was a struggle throughout the race. Everyone told me that I would warm up and maybe even get too warm in my long sleeve Zensah shirt, but I knew better. I knew I was a little baby and that I would be freezing. Luckily during the race, even though it was somewhat of an ‘experience’, my core and arms stayed warm. I also wore the long sleeves over my hands when I was an idiot at mile six and ditched my mittens. Epic Failure. As soon as I crossed the finish line my teeth were chattering again. I was SO glad that my Zensah top kept me warm, and dry throughout the race. You know it’s cold when runners run by with FROST ON THEIR BEANIES. NOT OKAY IN MY BOOK!! :)

So Congrats to Danielle and get to shopping. I totally believe that shirt saved my cold little butt this weekend.

It seems the race report will be up on Thursday. Totally forgot I’m going to Sean Paul tonight. So just gimme the light. The race report is a work in progress, but it’s entertaining thus far. Reliving the day after is hilarious, albeit a tad sad. I’m feeling better today, I just need to remember to get up every hour and drink lots of water.

xoxo MANIAC DANICA! :)

Okay that is the only time I will EVER sign my name like that :)

Congrats Danielle. Enjoy your runs. I know I’m not built for cold weather. I’m trying to convert my Snuggie into a running suit. HA! :)

Man! I really thought I had this one! Damn that random stuff!
Glad your feeling better today! Can’t wait for your report! Have a good Tuesday!

Okay, when you were talking about it being so cold, I seriosuly didn’t realize just how cold you were talking about. BELOW FREEZING? That would be rough on a Cali girl. Glad you made it through and that most of your body was warm. Brrrrr!

dang i wanted to win!!! i might have to use this code and buy myself some :)

cant wait for your race report!

what a fab prize.. congrats danielle!

Yeah Maniac Danica!

I may be doing a little Xmas shopping for moi!

Thanks for the codes! Wahoo! Congrats Danielle, we are all jealous.

Congrats to the winner! She’s lucky :-) Also thanks for the code. I’ll be buying some for sure.

I can’t stop singing “She’s a Maniac, Maniac” everytime I see your name now! LMAO! Congrats to Danielle!

I am supposed to be Xmas shopping for others ..not for myself! lol Damn you Danica for sharing discounts with us!

SUHWEET discount with the coupon!!! Thanks for sharing :)

In the winter, I always use a running long-sleeve shirt with a fleece vest. I never understood why people wear vests until I started running. My chest/stomach/back can get pretty cold, but if I wear a jacket, I overheat.

Turns out my arms warm up quickly, but my core never warms up enough — the vest solves that problem!

dangit! i wanted to win! maybe i’ll give this little gem of a code to someone and tell them i want it for CHRISTMAS! :)

i had so much fun with you this weekend!!! love you!

I don’t have anything smart to say…I just want the opportunity to say Maniac Daniac!

That’s your new nickname from now on…Haha!

um…..I don’t live in Seattle….you just visited me you should know this….lol sad I didn’t win, but I am VERY tempted to use this coupon code….hhhmmmmmmmm

Damn, I wanna try compression gear soooo bad!
I would’ve entered this giveaway, but I live in NZ and I assumed you wouldn’t post that far.
Such a shame that it’s so expensive to buy compression gear :(

I’m dying to read this report. Get on it girl!

Sorry CIM was such a rough race for you. :( I’m lucky to be accustomed to semi-cold weather (and hills) so that part of it was okay for me… Hope your legs recover soon and you enjoy the holidays!
