New giveaway + vegas +a winner!

So the winner for the Dick’s Sporting Goods giveaway is….

Number 20 of the comments… AMBER! Who commented about how she is going to be running the Long Beach half and I’m super excited to see her there!

Congrats! To the rest who entered, thanks for entering, and you still have the chance if you have twitter and tweet them daily with what you might buy with the giftcard. I think they are right around day 20 of 50 days.

So as promised I have another sweet giveaway and this is totally not related to running at all! Yet it’s still very useful and everyone lives in a home, so everyone can enter!

It’s a $50 gift certificate to the online living room furniture store, Living Rooms Direct! You can pick anything that they sell on the site for 50 dollars, (or more if you want to foot the remainder of the bill) for something to spruce up your home. They have a lot of cute vases, lamps and art as well. All you have to do is leave a comment on this post as well.

So my run last night, you know, the one where I wondered if it was going to be great or suck, well, it was the first! It was great again! Everything was clicking and I just was cruising. I feel like if I run around cars and people, I run faster without even knowing it. Perhaps it’s something I do subconsciously. Anyways, it was still warm and I did a same old beach path and I had to actually run a lot in the dark, which is kind of scary, but at the same time, there were a lot of people around. I realized I had some toe issues again and when I got home I realized the whole bottom half of my toe is sluffing off! I’m like a snake, shedding my own skin! Luckily, it doesn’t hurt. Showered, felt great after and packed. Yup. I have a secret. This weekend I’m going to Vegas. As in leaving in like 3 hours when I get off half day from work. Crazy, but it was very last minute and my roommate and her friends were going and she invited me. Normally, I would have said no way, I am NOT spontaneous at all, but with everyone going and nothing to do this weekend besides my 15 miler, I figured what the heck right? So, I’ll be prancing around Vegas all weekend, and I’m still up in the air about running the 15 on the treadmill or up and down the strip, it will be a game time decision. I’ve only been there twice before and that was over two years ago.

Hopefully there is some of my great dance moves….

This was when I went there before. It was in January and it was SNOWING. That’s why we are all wearing coats. Can you find me with my short hair?

It should fun and of course, I’m sure I’ll have a plethora of pictures on Monday or Tuesday :)

I am so excited for your trip this weekend– it’s going to be amazing! Play a few games of “Deal or No Deal” & “Wheel of Fortune” penny slots for me. Oh and have some extra dirty martinis… Oh Vegas how I love thee. Hahha. I’ll miss you this afternoon, dude!

How exciting and fun! I’m actually flying through Vegas tonight to get to Portland. Or I think anyways. Maybe it’s Phoenix. Either way, I know I go through there when I come home in a few days. I love Vegas and am a little bummed I don’t have a long enough layover to do anything fun. Have a total blast!

I finished my first 18 m race today! You’re right, 13.1-18 m is a good distance. I am in love with the half marathons. I am doing the Chicago marathon in 49 days! Any advice you could share – other than be prepared for whatever might happen at mile 8. (I bet looking back at it is a lot easier and you can just laugh at it now)

Yay! I’m so excited! The medal is pretty nice too, I will have to email you a photo.

So here’s why I should win the living room furniture store giveaway — and here I am about to get a little more personal than I am on my blog — it is quite possible that I will be moving in the next oh, 4ish months.
