Five on Friday

This week has been SO busy, B worked a ton in the last week and I’ve been slacking on the writing. Alas, here we are for 5 on Friday with a few of my fave finds and things that have happened this week.

My first run without a stroller

This Tuesday I went for a run without my stroller and had some semi-high hopes it was going to be great. I thought I’d run about 30 seconds faster without the stroller, but I was SO wrong. I struggled so much just to keep going forward and my knee was hurting a little bit. I wasn’t super frustrated thankfully, just felt super tired and glad once I finally made it back home. Looks like I’ll be sticking with the stroller for a while longer! I also felt so weird because, as Will Ferrel says in Talladega Nights, I don’t know what to do with with my hands!

Late July Chips

I recently found these chips at Costco, and they apparently also sell them at Walmart! B is a chip FIEND and these are great. The flavor isn’t overwhelming, they have just the right amount of saltiness and are thin, but don’t break when you dip into salsa, which I personally like in a chip. Enjoying these during summertime on the patio with a margarita? Sounds like a perfect evening to me!

Grapevine Photo

A few weeks ago we went out to the Lane Kemper Softball Tournament that B plays in every year. We always have a good time and this year we took Cora and she did great! There is a monthly LAFD Fire magazine we get and this month they highlighted Kemper and our photo was in it! My friend told me about it and I had to save it.

Cradle Cap Comb

Unfortunately , Alyssa has some cradle cap, as Cora did and I got this comb off Amazon to use on Cora and it works like a charm. I tried it again this week after our 2 month dr appointment and it seriously helped clear it up so much. The reviews are true, this comb works SO well and doesn’t hurt them at all. Her hair is already looking way better.

Chaps Pillow

Randomly, this past week when I went to bed, my pillow was SO flat for some reason. I tried to fluff it back up and get it back to where it was and it just seemed like it had a good run but it was time to get a new one. I ended up heading to Kohls and found this Chaps Pillow which is super comfortable and has just the right amount of fluff. Normally, $59, who knew pillows were so expensive, and I got it with coupons for $6.71?! What a steal! I slept with it last night and it was awesome to have some fluffiness again.

Enjoy the weekend, I’m hoping to run 5 miles tomorrow again!
