When we moved out of our house for the remodel, I knew I wanted to move C into the middle room and keep the baby room the same, since we weren’t finding out the sex of the baby. That means I’d only have to redo one room, which was previously our office.
I wanted her new room to have longevity and hopefully we won’t have to change it for a while as she grows! I looked into having a mural painted in her room but the prices were really out of our budget. $800-$1000… I meannnn not happening! I looked a lot online for wallpaper but since it’s becoming a bit more trendy lately, they were also expensive, and B was not into doing wallpaper at all.
I finally found these amazing stickers at Urban Wall Decals and loved them. Since we’ve redone the room they’ve also added so many more amazing flower options! They shipped super fast and were really easy to apply. I was nervous when I laid it all out but I taped them to the wall first and then stuck them to the wall. It was a lot easier than I expected it to be and I LOVE the way it came out!
We opted not to do a new rocking chair since C didn’t need to be rocked to sleep anymore but still wanted a chair in the corner. I got this purple-y chair from Wayfair and it’s super comfortable and both B and I love it! It comes in so many different colors and was easy to put together. We hope that C will grow into it too and enjoy reading in the chair.
Next to the chair we got a small bookshelf from Home Depot for book and toy storage and it has worked out perfectly! We don’t have that many toys thankfully and they all fit in here and in the bins. The bins match so well and I found them at Target.
We repurposed this pin board that used to be in our kitchen for this wall because it seemed a little bare and put up some photos on it. Perhaps it will house her artwork once she starts going to school in the future.
Above her changing pad is still a little work in progress but I have most of the collage hung up. I found the pin board at Target during Valentine’s Day and Shea made these embroidery hoops for C with both George and Sophie’s outline on them! I love them and think they add the perfect personalized touch.
The dresser I found is one of my favorite pieces of furniture in our house! I found Marisa of Uproar Decor on Instagram and just my luck she’s local in Long Beach! She had redone this dresser and I snatched it up. Make sure to check her out if you’re looking for a custom piece or need something redone, her work is amazing.
She loves her new room and it works perfect for the space we have. I’m so glad I didn’t change the nursery either because now the new little babe can enjoy that room and I really liked how that room came out too!
The green walls are Behr “Establish Mint” and the white wall is Behr “Shea”. The white wall has just a little bit pink in it so it wasn’t such a stark contrast to the rest of the room. I’m so happy with how it looks and it’s really a fun room to hang out and read and play in!
