My best friend went above and beyond to throw me a Baby Shower and I wanted to post about a few of my favorite details that she worked on! She asked me about what I wanted for my shower and I told her I wanted to have a small friends shower that was more of just a hangout and time to catch up with everyone who would be able to make it. No games, no pressure, just good food and a small group of friends.
It was a very warm day but everything was beautiful and the food was delicious. The flowers were all done by her florist she used for her wedding, who is incredible. I never imagined these colors to go together, but as soon as I saw it I loved it! The tables were so pretty and perfect for just relaxing with friends and enjoying some food and treats.
She had a “Mom”osa bar, where there was a plethora of drinks to mix up to enjoy, including cute little custom waters that matched the theme.
She used both George and Sophie throughout the shower, which was one thing I was really excited about. Because we aren’t finding out what the baby’s sex is, she had everyone guess by choosing boy or girl drink stirrers. The little George and Sophie silhouettes turned out so cute and looked great in the favors which were succulents. I’m excited to use the cut outs in the nursery too!
Another thing that was SO much fun, and to be honest I was kind of skeptical of how it would turn out, was the flower crown station! Almost everyone made one and they were so cute in photos and I’m really glad she added that little fun aspect to the shower.
She knows I love my food, so the menu was a few of my favorite things, sliders, macaroni and cheese and mashed potatoes and everything was amazing. I even was lucky enough to score some of the leftover mashed potatoes and ate them for the next three days.
The colors were great and she added a really cute ‘baby mama’ banner to the back of my chair at the table. It’s one of our favorite movies and I’m glad she gave me the the big comfy chair too, good looking out for the baby mama!
She is known for always having a photo backdrop at her events, and of course made one out of ribbon for the shower which was nice because I got to take photos with everyone in front of it. She also made adorable custom props to use on her Cricut machine.
We all enjoyed the desserts as I opened gifts, she got a funfetti cake (I didn’t even know you could buy that) from a local bakery and it was so good, minus being HUGE to cut into! There were some really thoughtful and fun gifts but I was just so glad that it was relaxed and laid back with some of my favorite girls! We are counting down the days until the newest member of the family is here!
