This past month I was honored to hold my best friend’s bachelorette party before she gets married on November 15! Because she loves the Angels, we had always planned on going to an Angel game in the suite that her work has for the evening and spending the night in a hotel in the local area to make logistics easier for everyone. I started planning roughly 4 months in advance. Booking the hotel room, starting to plan the decorations, the food, everything that we wanted to do. It was a lot of fun to plan and I reached deep into my crafty side to make almost all of the decorations! The day was seriously amazing, everything came together perfectly!
I went with a black and pink theme because I thought it would be different than her wedding and is more from the “bachelorette party” color scheme. I looked long and hard on Pinterest to get ideas and see which direction I wanted to go. I started designing the invites on Photoshop and really liked how they came out! Included with the invites, I placed a little card asking each guest to bring a pair of underwear that ‘represented them’ so Shea could guess who brought each pair and on the front of the card was her sizes for lingerie.
I started making tassels with directions from this video and made a whole bunch leading up to the event. I did most of my crafting just while watching TV while B was at work. I also started on making the favors. First, I knew I wanted it to be a small ‘gift’ for each of the girls and I saw the idea of ‘emergency kits/hangover kits‘ on Pinterest and knew I wanted to make something similar. I started with the glittered wineglass, which I got from the Dollar Spot at Target. I used this tutorial to glitter the wine glass stem and it was really easy. Then I added in a little packet of Tylenol, a mini bottle of alcohol, a pack of gum, pink glitter nail polish, and three hair ties that I made for each of the guests. I got the elastic from here, and then made the little paper they were on just on my regular printer.
Then, I made this sign to hang from the bed from Kinkos, using this template and just adding the letters to each separate one. I already had the pink paper so because it was black ink and printing on pink paper, it was only 14 cents each page, which wasn’t too bad at all! Cutting it out was tough though :)
I also worked with Wedding Paper Divas with their customization tool to make super fun and totally custom coasters and napkins to match the theme. When I started, I was a bit concerned because I wasn’t sure I could make them how I wanted them exactly, but their customization tool allowed me to change pretty much everything. These were the coasters I customized and these were the napkins. I loved how they came out and they were the perfect classy touch to have at both the hotel and the suite!
I also got baseball shirts printed for everyone in the party. They were from T-shirt Supplier and were only 7 a piece. Then I got them screen printed by Classic Graphix with the same thing on the front of the invitation. Everyone seemed to like them and I loved the way they came out.
Once everyone arrived we played the game where Shea guessed who brought what pair of underwear (where she got 9 out of 16 right!!) we had cupcakes, drank champagne and opened the rest of her gifts. We stayed at Hotel Menage, close by the stadium and had a great suite that wasn’t super expensive. Finally, it was time to head to the game! Unfortunately a few girls are missing from this pic, but it was most of the guests.
We had a few drivers drop us off at Angel Stadium to root for the Angels had a few decorations there as well. Overall, it was a really fun night and we ended up going back to the hotel afterwards, having a few drinks at the bar and called it a night. It was so much fun and I was so happy with how everything came out!
