2013 Fall Workout Playlist to keep you moving no matter what your workout is from

It’s officially fall and that means many are out training for a multitude of upcoming races. I’m still trying to get back into the swing of things with my toes that are still a little beat up, but I hope to be putting in a 10 miler this weekend. Normally, on my training runs in the morning, I don’t usually listen to music because I’m chatting with MK most of the time, but in the evening or during speed work I usually try to listen to music. It really helps keep things interesting, pumps me up and keeps me at a faster pace than I would normally run. I also make sure to only ever listen to one ear bud to make sure that I’m aware of my surroundings when I run and watching out for cars and bikers.

During my last marathon, I turned on my music at the half marathon mark and it worked out perfectly. I’ve usually tried to listen to music for the whole race and I think this made a big difference for me. I felt like it allowed me to “race” the second half of the course and push myself harder through the more difficult miles because of the upbeat songs playing through my playlist.

Some of the music videos on this playlist are REALLY weird, so I’m warning you now and I’m pretty sure a few of them aren’t work friendly either.

Here’s a list of the songs included as well:

Because I love 80’s songs, this Bastille cover of Cutting Crew is amazing – Died in your Arms
