The best post run treat… Sidecar Doughnuts

Recently, after a long run with MK, we decided to stop into Sidecar Doughnuts. We’d seen these tasty looking doughnuts all over instagram and didn’t realize how close they were to where we finished our long run. It’s apparently the new hot spot and we thought it would be fun to try it out.

When we first pulled up the place was packed, people were enjoying their Sidecar Doughnuts on all the little tables out front and the line was out the door. We walked up, looking rather homely after our run, and took in all the small shop had to offer, the smell was amazing when we walked in the door and the employees were friendly, but what was most interesting was the selection of doughnuts they offered!

They were very unique and of course we took it upon ourselves to try quite a few, how can you say no? I got the maple bacon (a given), the apple pie with tillamook cheddar, the banana nutella and the cinnamon crumb.

Everything was so tasty, and B, who is mostly against sugar, thought they were really good. They are just light and fluffy and the maple bacon was HOT. Yes, straight out of the oven. I’m pretty sure it doesn’t get any better. We were also famished from our long run so it was a match made in heaven, the perfect sweet long run treat!

The only bummer is that since they are more of a boutique doughnut, they are pretty pricey, but for a once and a while treat, they’re totally worth it! If they weren’t so far away from our house, B and I would have a problem going there too often. Next time you’re looking for a perfect post long run sweet head to Sidecar you won’t be disappointed.

xoxo

This post is no way sponsored by Sidecar and I went there on my own and spent my own money much to B’s dismay.

Those look good. We have a similar boutique doughnut place by our house. Our rule is we can only visit them after a long run of at least 10 miles

Totally off the topic of the post today but where do you get your headbands?

Those look seriously delicious! Just out of curiosity because I’ve never had doughnuts from a specialty place like that…are they expensive?
