Pre-Wrap Headband!

I get a lot of questions about what kind of headband I wear when I run. I even use this trick when I workout at the gym. This is a video that Shea let me make in her little video studio about my favorite trick – The Pre-Wrap headband. This works well for me and is inexpensive and I never have to worry about it falling off or losing it especially since it’s inexpensive.

So here goes nothing… a lovely video

I hope you try out this trick, and it works for you too! If you are having problems with it breaking, just don’t pull as tight. Treat the pre-wrap like string. It’s pretty durable but it can break if you pull on it too much. It totally reminds me of my soccer days. Those limited days of riding the bench were awesome!

I use this technique for all my training runs, it keeps all my fly aways out of my face and is super easy to do. Here’s a photo of the pre-wrap that I used in the video. The best part is that it comes in a bunch of fun different colors.

Here’s a link that you can get pre-wrap at. If you want to look at your local Walgreens or CVS or even Walmart, try the tape/ace bandage/athletic area!

Oh my gosh, I do this all the time and learned it from when I played soccer too! I recently bought some Bic Bands and they do a good job of staying put, but other than those, pre-wrap is the only thing that stays in place on my head. My CVS doesn’t have any fun colors though, just the plain ol’ beige. I need some of that hot pink!

The only headbands I will wear while running/working out are made of pre-wrap too!! I started it in high school for volleyball because it was the only thing that would stay in my hair! If anyone has a hard time keeping the pre-wrap in, just give it a little spray of hair spray once it’s in your hair. It makes it more rough and will hold on to your hair even better. Pre-wrap is the only way to go!
