Morning Workouts

Usually when I get up in the morning, I’m highly unmotivated to work out. I cannot tell a lie, I don’t pop out of bed and rush to put on my workout clothes. It’s defanitly a struggle to even get out of bed, none the less open my eyes and just start doing lunges and push ups. A co-worker and I have been challenging each other to wake up 30 minutes earlier and work out. As much as I loathe that alarm going off, once I’m up and started, it’s much easier than I expected. It starts my day off on the right foot and makes me feel accomplished in just 30 minutes. I usually do 4 sets of 12 each, including lunges, leg lifts, sit ups, push ups, donkey kicks and a few shoulder presses with my weight.

I’ve worked out in the morning every day since last monday except on Tuesday, which I gave myself a rest day in the morning. It’s nice to get my workout done with in the mornings. When B isn’t home, I have also been taking George for nice long walks, which he seems to be loving. I have made it a weekly goal to try to take him for four walks a week. It’s been absolutely amazing weather in the evenings and we went for a walk and by the time I got home and checked my mapmyrun app, I had walked 4.5 miles! I couldn’t believe it.

Tomorrow morning I’m planning on doing a 4 mile run. I have continued to eat healthy this week and am glad I did! I have another run planning this weekend, 7 miles. I hope it’s pain free as it was last weekend! I am really looking forward to our Napa Trip in less than 18 days! I cannot wait. We’ve both never been and B actually has planned the entire trip and I know nothing. It’s kind of scary in the sense that I’m an extreme planner and I want to know what is going on, but I know going with the flow will be way less stressful for me :)

    I wish I was motivated to get my workout in in the mornings! I’d love to run in the mornings, but it’s too dang dark and spooky at 5am! ha!

    Ah yes . . . the bootycall workout. I have to admit I would love to get up and get my sweat on but a lot of times I just want to stay in bed and cuddle with the Husband and Daisy.

    I know it makes me a bit of a naughty but I figure as long as I get my workout in eventually! I just hope people are wrong about morning workouts jump starting your metabolism for the rest of the day! :S
