It’s my favorite time of year!

Both B and I LOVE the 4th of July. We just love everything associated it, especially celebrating our country! So we have some exciting stuff going on this week to get ready for the 4th. We are actually just going to a BBQ at our friends house, but I offered to make pies and I have the 10K in the morning and I also have a special breakfast planned for us. It’s a bit ridiculous but it’s one of our favorite holidays. So therefore, how the 10K will go.

First off, I can’t believe that it’s already here. I’m rather excited about it though and am going to finish up George’s cape tonight. I did a 5 miler this weekend and felt pretty good. I’m not running as fast as I thought I would be running but alas, I’ll be fine. I’ll have to post some goals tomorrow to try to hold myself accountable.

I also went to my friends baby shower this weekend. It was a lot of fun and a lovely day, with the weather not being too hot.

On Sunday we went over to B’s parents house, who live about .3 of a mile away from us and I laid out by the pool while he played with his brother’s dog. George stayed home, he is not a fan of the pool at all. He runs and hides in the bushes. It was a nice afternoon though, we had a delicious lunch and enjoyed some sun.

Afterwards we headed to my aunts house to celebrate my brother’s upcoming birthday.

Can’t believe he’s 24! Also, B loves taking photos as you can see from above, so therefore the photo turned out fantastic. :/ And my aunt got us this really cool new flag that we put up yesterday!

I’ve been watching a TON of Olympics! I love watching it and it makes inspired to work out and train for another race. Hopefully I’m inspired to run fast on Wednesday at the 10K! Today I took a rest day and I’m going to run 2-3 miles tomorrow morning to see how I am feeling for Wednesday morning.

xoxo

Good luck in your race! I’m excited to see George’s cape & hear about this breakfast!

  2. Love that dress you wore! And having weather to enjoy outdoor bbqs and the pool. I think Oregon is still about a month away from that. :)
