Keepin’ on Keeping on.

Because I don’t really have much going on besides the usual, I thought I would put up a few recent picture and update my workout stats as of recent.

The other day it was B’s mom’s birthday and this was right before we left to go out to dinner. The shaved head is still so weird to me. I’m glad it’s growing back fast. I swear George is obsessive with B. It might be because they spend so much time together when he is at home, but he has him sit on his shoulder like a parrot and G follows him EVERYWHERE. They spend a lot of time ‘schleprocking’ together, whatever that even means.

This is the buzzer from the place we went! I have never seen them in another shape besides a box or something and this was hilarious! I also think I finally figured out the center part with short hair. I am missing my long hair lately, so it’s growing back fast thankfully.

We went for a walk this weekend and this is how he was the remainder of the day. I swear he is so spoiled! What a good little buddy he is though.

The other night, a very close family friend became the Mayor of Bellflower! We were all very excited and got dressed up and went to the ceremony and the dinner afterwards. It was a lot of fun and we are very proud of him. What an honor!

So as for working out! I’m actually pretty proud of my workouts still and know I need to really stay consistent with what I have going on right now. On Saturday I went to the gym for about 40 minutes, which isn’t long but I wasn’t in the mood for some reason and Sunday I went for a 3 mile run. I didn’t have any pain in my IT Band which is really encouraging to me.

Monday I went for a run after work and finally was feeling in the groove. I started off and felt myself running much faster than I thought I could go. I decided that I really wanted to push as hard as I could and ended up with an average of 8:05 per mile, which hasn’t happened in a long time and it was REALLY hard to run that fast. So alas, it felt good and it hurt at the same time.

Last night I went to the gym and worked out really hard and it was great. I have been doing alternates on the stationary bike where I will warm up for 2 minutes and then go hard (120+ rpm) for a minute and back off (90+ rpm) per minute for 20 minutes. I really enjoy it and it gets my heart rate up before going to do weights. After I biked, I got on the elliptical and then headed to the weights. I always feel great after leaving the gym.

I was thinking last night I should do another challenge, where I work out for 30 days or a month again, because I did enjoy that when I did it last year, so I will have to think of something. Tonight it’s gym time after work and then softball! I am really enjoying playing softball this season and have improved a lot, which is fun.

I am still eating healthy and seeing a huge difference in my clothes fitting properly. I am hovering at 142-144, and REALLY want to get down to 130s. So I am continuing on my quest.

So what races to sign up for is the next question. I am thinking a few small 10ks or 5ks and perhaps a half for memorial day? We shall seeeeeee!
