Weekend Recap + Little Rock MEDAL!

This weekend was lovely, minus being in bed ALL day on Sunday with a terrible migraine. :/ UGH. Saturday though was great as I went to the new running store down the street from my house, Legacy Running Company, and went for a run with their morning running group. I think after Arkansas I will meet up there with them a lot because I do enjoy running with others. The store is really nice! I love how open it is and organized it is. They also had lots of treats after the run :)

We all met at 8 am and went for a run. We got to see the store before the Grand Opening, and I only ran about 3 miles. I am quite concerned about my IT band and didn’t want to aggravate it. So I cut it pretty shore. Let me tell you, arkansas is gunna HURT.

I loved how the center of the store was open with a few benches to try on shoes at. It didn’t feel cluttered and they had a good selection of cute stuff!

The wall of shoes! I haven’t gone shoe shopping in a while… and I loved all the new colors! The staff was really excited and everyone who gathered for the run was really nice and friendly.

I’ve been foam rolling a lot and trying to release some pressure on the IT band and it seems to be doing much better, but I still don’t want to push it. I had a terrible migraine all day on Sunday so I literally slept the entire day, and when it was time for bed, I went straight back to sleep. Thankfully for my morning workout with Shea today I was feeling much better and we got in a great workout!

As hard as it is to get up, knowing she’s doing the same thing at her house and we meet at the park is motivating. Speaking of motivation… Little Rock Marathon revealed their medal this weekend… and as much as the race is going to hurt, getting this at the finish line is going to make my neck hurt!

No matter how long is takes me, which I’m guesstimating at this point it will take me roughly 7 hours to finish… having this waiting for me is pretty much the highlight of the race! Can’t wait for the adventure at the end of the month!
