Follow me:

I woke up this morning thinking of the one person who has made quite possibly the biggest impact on my life to date, and even in the past five years, when she hasn’t been by my side, I know numerous times throughout the day that she is looking out for me. I see herself in my actions, words and attitude more and more every day! I have the same little fiery, sassy attitude and as B says, “You don’t take shit from anyone!” I used to be SO embarrassed of my mom getting riled up at certain things, and I am the SAME way! I’m so thankful that I was blessed with her for 20 years of my life and now I’m thankful I am just like her. It’s crazy because the months of April and May are the hardest for me becuase it’s like bam, bam, bam all these important reminder dates, but it’s good to spend time to reflect and think about her and all the good memories that we have in our lives. Today she would have been 55. So if you have someone special in your life make sure you take the time to tell them you love them today. There are such special moments in life, don’t let them pass you by.

Happy 55th Birthday Mom! I’ve made a donation to the Susan G. Komen Foundation in memory of my mom today. You can also right here at this link. Imagine a life without Breast Cancer.

Losing a parent is never easy, I lost my mother when I was 16 and my fiance lost both her parents at an early age of MS. I’m sure your mother is very proud of you!

Gosh I’m right there with you, my mom’s bday is sept 24 and she died Oct 12, it’s one after another. It’s hard when days like mother’s day or any holiday for that matter, roll around, but it’s also a good time to smile and think of all the great memories you have. I hope today is a special day for you, filled with smiles and a few tears are ok too.

Such a sweet tribute to your mom. I also lost my mom 6 years ago to brain cancer….there is definitely an emptiness I carry around in my heart at all times, but I know she is watching me and I hope I make her smile. I know your mom is doing the same!

Oh goodness! I KNOW that your mom is so super proud of the kick ass person you are. I know it’s hard going through so many “grown up” moments without a momma, but, you handle it all with such class. Thinking of you lady!
