I drank the Lululemonade

So I have a confession. I never wanted to be that girl that sported the lululemon gear, well perhaps I wanted to sport it, but I guess I didn’t want to pay the price for it. I always loved it, super cute, fun colors, don’t get me wrong, but capris for the upwards of $100? Are you insane? I have loans to pay off! I lusted after them but another thing that was a little over the top for me is paying that much for something that I will sweat in. It was on thing to spend that much on clothes that I’d get a lot of wear in, but a lot of the capris I bought last season were already in the ‘see-through’ stages. They were not cheap and I can’t imagine paying that much for something that would end up in the same see through boat, and who wants nasty sweat all over your new expensive capris. If I want to buy something expensive, I can tell you that it will most likely be jeans. Alas, I always see tons of people in US Weekly sporting their Lululemon gear.

And I think maybe if I get some lululemon gear, I’ll be featured on the pages running through Santa Monica and getting hit on by John Mayer. Most likely not.

All the bright colors and soft material made me want it. Bad. But I stayed far, far away. I even know everyone says there’s something about it that just makes your butt look amazing. I wouldn’t know though because I never had anything.

That is not my butt. Nor do I know who that butt belongs too. But that little U kept sucking me in. I always wanted to get something and wear it while I was out and about, running, at the gym. Then, one day at work, my co-worker, who does obscene amounts of yoga with her roommate who is a yogi (isn’t that what they call yoga teachers?) brought me a bag full of clothes. Inside were three pairs of her yogi roommates old Lululemon capris. I about died on the spot. I couldn’t believe it. The supplex material that they are made of basically is the most amazing fabric ever, and the whole ‘forgiving’ thing that they say that the capris do, totally true. They suck in everything for some reason and are the most deceiving things ever. I love.

So now I’m that girl. I wear my lululemon around happy as a clam. I put them on when I run every so often, and man. I must say, there is nothing to describe their softness. Le Sigh. I am sucked in. I have taken a little swig of the Lululemonade and I want more, more, more! I peruse their sale section of their site, and if I ever see anything that I must have, I will pounce on it like a cheetah. I still haven’t bought anything yet, but even with my used lulus, I am in lululemon heaven! I never realized that I would get trapped so easily. And now, looking at the price tags makes me wish I never even took a sip. I got one taste of the lululemonade and I am hooked! The sweetness is just to overwhelming and is has overpowered me! I am now a lululemon addict.  I am now guzzling the lululemonade by the cupful! I still rarely wear them because I don’t want to ruin them, but man, I must admit, they are my new love. The way they fit, the fact that I can wear a size small, the material, the way they just suck everything in and pull everything up. It’s like they are magical. Now, just to find John Mayer….

Oh I totally drank the lululemonade. I started my addiction in October and my collection just. keeps. growing. The technical running gear is amazing and now I’ve started getting into the jackets and stuff just to wear about town. Those Canadians sure to know how to make your ass look good :)

I just wore my first piece of lulu clothing yesterday (run inspire crops) and they most definitely were AMAZING. So soft, so comfortable, and flattering, I mean what else can you ask for? OH! Cheaper prices ;) haha. They are definitely the splurge item.

Oh, I KNOW! Love. Check out the sale racks in the store too, you can find some good deals that aren’t on their site!

They last FOREVER. I’ve had my pants for 5+ years and they still make my butt look great with no signs of see-throughness.

It’s all true! The softness, the fit, the durability, and sadly the price. I wish my broke butt could afford more, but I reserve Lululemon to my Christmas List every year.

Lululemon is the only place I shop for my workout clothes. It is a bad addiction and even worse that they have free shipping. I cringe at the prices but I feel so good when I wear their pants/shirts/bras/sweaters/bags/mats/headbands etc.

Wow, I always wondered how they could get people to pay that much money! I went into the store once and left very quickly. I looked at two pieces of clothing and as soon as I touched each one, the salesperson was on top of me rattling off product features. It was awful.

Once you get one taste of that stuff there is no going back. I love love love lululemon, which is bad because I too have student loans to pay off. Check in the store for markdowns. I try not to buy anything that’s not on sale. Wunder unders are my absolute fave and they are the least expensive (but still cost an arm and a leg) of all their crops.

They put some sort of crack in the clothes, I’m convinced.

It might be cheaper for you to get a plane ticket to NY, and go to the outlet with me.

I’ve only bought Lululemon once, when our local store hosted a run for my running club. I HAD to buy a pair of gloves in the perfect shade of plum … only to lose them two weeks later. I never worn them. (Sob!)

It’s such an evil little store!! The quality and the fit are unbeatable, though! Just got a run speed skirt in the mail from them today. There is a page on Facebook to buy sell new/used Lulu! I can send you the link if you want. I bought a pair of new groovy run shorts on there for $10 less than the store price.

Ahahahah – best blog title EVER! :o)

I hear you thought – it is a bit like some un-holy lemonade!

And I’ll admit I have my share of Lulu (I do live in BC after all) but I didn’t acquire it all at once. It’s too pricey for that – I’ve built up my collection over the years.

Oh and one last confession – I love my Daisy but the time she tore holes in my Lululemon groove pants I just about died! I came this close to putting her up for sale! ;o)

Oohh lululemon! I’ve spent more there recently than I have should have! If you’re in a cold weather spot, their “Run: Outward Bound” pants are amazing! Windproof front, wicking and breathable back, and fleece lined! I’m in heaven!

I LOVE my Lululemon – LOVE IT. In the winter, I cannot wear anything but Wunder Under pants (I also have a pair of capris in that style) – I live in them.

To make the pricetag more palatable, I remind myself that I never feel as good working out in my other workout clothes… and any more motivation to workout is priceless for me!

I was the same way I thought who would ever spend that much for a workout shirt or capri’s . . . . Then I went to run club at my local lululemon with my roommate, they were giving away a technical top for the new store opening . . . Well since then I have been hooked!!! I just love they way all their stuff fits. I stalk the sale sections at my local stores!

I got hooked in the summer of 2009 and now pretty much my entire running (and comfy wear) clothes are lulu. On FB there is a group called lululemon exchange, people sell lulu some in EUC and some NWT for great prices – helps if you have sticker shock. I have bought items, worn them and resold for what I paid here and on e-bay, so you can salvage a little bit of your “investment”.

I have only 1 lululemon shirt from the lululemon Vasona Lake Half Marathon, a small trail event in my area.

The fabric is just amazing. It’s got silver oxide in the fabric. It resists stinking due to physical activity.

The colors are just so pretty.
