Congrats guys! If you email me at [email protected], I will get you in touch with the right person for your prize.
I am so excited for the last giveaway, and so thankful that Nana Smith Designs offered to give away one of my FAVORITE necklaces. I have mine and wear it daily, and love it! I get a lot of compliments on it too!
Mine is the 26.2 on a heart and I am showcasing it in this horrible picture I took of myself after the gym! Sick! Oh well, sorry I wasn’t going to shower just for the picture! :)
Nana Smith Designs is giving away this one!
I LOVE this necklace and it retails for $65! Her stuff is so cute and dainty but still shows that you kick some serious butt, which I love. So many necklaces that are running related seem to be so bulky or masculine and these are girly and can be worn every day without being overwhelming or drawing too much attention. I wear mine to all the events I work and every now and then I think about how I have run marathons too. Sentimental and weird, I know. So there are two ways to enter.
One way to enter is to leave a comment saying how running makes you courageous! Here’s what I would comment
“Running makes me feel courageous because after a run I feel like I can take on the world and it makes me feel really strong!”
The other way to enter is to tweet about the giveaway including @chicrunner and @nsdesigns.
You can also find her on facebook if you want to know more about her jewelry. Also make sure to stop by her website! Great gift ideas for Valentines Day (yes, I saw some valentines decorations yesterday at the store), Birthdays, First Marathons, anything! She’s so sweet and I’m so happy that she ends the giveaways of December off on a great note!
I got in a GREAT gym session this morning with 7 miles on the bike, a quick mile on the treadmill and about 30 minutes of weight training. I am really getting back into the swing of things and finally am feeling awesome about working out again. On the other hand, I can’t believe I’m running a half in three days!
Good luck to everyone and I hope you all have enjoyed the December giveaways!!
xoxo

I LOOOVE the necklance!
Running makes me feel courageous because I am not afraid to set big goals and challenge and push myself to get there.

Necklace is adorbs!
Running makes me feel courageous because no matter how out of shape I’ve gotten I can get it back! It takes a brave woman to lace up running shoes after having a baby!
By @kimikay on 12.22.10 11:13 am
LOVE it!
Running makes me feel courageous because it pushes me to step out of my comfort zone and try new things…like triathlons :)
By Tara on 12.22.10 11:18 am
LOVE the necklace! I think running has given me the courage to try things that I had not thought were possible. I never thought I would do a marathon or a triathlon but now I have and it all started with a 5k!
By Karen on 12.22.10 11:28 am
I LOVE her stuff!!! I’ve wanted a necklace but I’ve never been able to justify the cash for a present for me.
Running makes me feel courageous because it shows me that I am strong both physically and mentally.

By Olivia on 12.22.10 11:58 am
Running makes me feel most courageous on those days where I actually don’t feel like doing my run. I’ll be all grouch & lazy, but once I force myself out there & get the run in, I feel so much better & so proud of myself!
By Sarah on 12.22.10 12:03 pm
Running makes me courageous because while I am running I know and feel that I can do anything and even though my first Half Marathon wasn’t my greatest run, I am planning to tackle one next year because I know that I can!
By Missy on 12.22.10 12:16 pm
Running gives me the courage and patience to be a mom and role model for two daughters.
Running also makes me courageous by pushing my limits. I used to think running 3 miles was quite the feat, until I ran a 10k…then a half marathon… and my first marathon.
By Hillary on 12.22.10 12:18 pm
Running makes me courageous because it allows me to accomplish things I never dreamed of. It shows me how good a nice butt kicking can feel!
By Laura on 12.22.10 12:30 pm
Running makes me feel courageous because I can always find someway to break out of my own comfort zone. Running 2 blocks used to be a feat, and now I’ve run a half marathon, just 8 months later!
Running makes me feel courageous because I’m doing something just for me – not for work, friends, family, or anything else. But it makes all those things better.

By KB on 12.22.10 12:58 pm
Running makies me feel coruageous because not everyone has the ability to do it. My grandmother lost her leg a couple years ago, and I always think about her to keep me going during a run. I tell myself, she will never run or walk again, so I am going to give 110% just for her :)
By Christine on 12.22.10 1:24 pm
Running has taught me that I can do anything I put my mind to and that I am far more courageous than I know I am sometimes.

Wandering past the park at 4 am in the dark after a recent shooting there? Exploring the streets in several new towns solo? Traveling to new cities and chatting up strangers? What gives one the courage to do all this? Yep, you guessed it – running.

I love her stuff! I’ve always wanted to get a necklace, but I’m still broke, so I hope I win!! Running gives me courage because it makes me feel strong. I know that seems like kind of a lame answer, but it’s true!

By Melissa on 12.23.10 6:26 am
Running makes me courageous as I know from experience that if I can run marathons, I can do anything! Even keep kids entertained during their winter break! :-)

By Esther on 12.23.10 8:14 am
Running gives me courage to face challenges. It helped me through some dark times. Growing up I wasn’t athletic. Had I only known that I didn’t need courage to run, but that running IS what gives courage, I might have started a lot earlier.
By Claudia on 12.23.10 8:58 am
Running makes me courageous because it allows me to face challenges and overcome them one by one. Not only does running make me courageous but it changes my way of thinking to “I could never do that” to “Let’s do this” and I just love that.
By Laura on 12.23.10 11:06 am
It doesn’t matter how much you weigh, how far the distance, or how fast your pace is–it takes courage to get out there and run. Good job!
By Laura on 12.23.10 11:18 am
Running makes me feel corageous because it was someething that I always struggled with.. and my first 1/2 I raised money for leukemia/lymphoma society, which was such an amazing feeling in itself.
By Jenna on 12.23.10 12:08 pm
the necklace is gorgeous. courage goes hand in hand with running. you need it for mile 8-11 when running a half marathon. :) definitely comes in handy.

Running makes me courageous because it shows me that I can reach any goal if I work hard enough.
By Rosalyn on 12.23.10 12:11 pm
Running takes me away and brings me back all at once.
I can escape the crush of work, a 2-year-old son and just life for a few (or several) miles. That escape helps me to focus on what’s important so I can approach things more thoughtfully and (hopefully) patiently.
By Amy on 12.23.10 12:12 pm
That necklace is so awesome. For me, courage and strength have been a huge factor in achieving my goals for fitness and through all of the challenges I’ve faced. Running makes me feel courageous because I know that I can accomplish anything now that I’ve taken it on. The feeling that you get from it is beyond what I can accurately describe. There really is nothing like it in the world. I now know that no matter what challenges or roadblocks appear, I can most surely overcome them no matter what it takes because I am courageous and am strong!
By Shannon C. on 12.23.10 12:13 pm
Running makes me feel couragous because I’m out there doing something others think is impossible but I’m setting a good example for my kids that you can set high goals and reach for them.
By MightyMite Runner on 12.23.10 12:17 pm
Running makes me feel courageous because I have successfully taken that first step of getting out of my warm bed at an ungodly hour in the morning, and it’s all uphill from there. If I can do that, my day is going to go great.

I’m normally scared of the dark but not when I’m running! I’ll quite happily run along a canal late at night without even worrying about who might be lurking under the bridges – and yes I know I should probably not do that but at least I’m not scared!
By mialena on 12.23.10 1:57 pm

Running makes me courageous because after completing my first marathon (despite an Achilles tendon injury) I felt like I could do absolutely anything I set my mind to. I’ve since run two more marathons & several half-marathons, & I’ve never lost that “on top of the world” feeling that comes from crossing the finish line! What’s more, I think that sense that I can do anything has translated well to my life outside of running, and *that* is an awesome thing!!
