Eggcelent Weekend + New Contest + Contest Winner

So there are a lot of things going on in this post… like the fact that Friday night my car got egged? Who does that? First off I live in an area where I have like 100 neighbors. I don’t make any of my neighbors angry and I think it was just a random ‘act of violence’. I had parked my car on a main street by my house and went inside to get Mr. R for dinner. We came back to my car 20 minutes later and at first I thought someone had smashed it, BUT even better, it was EGG! Honestly, at first I was a little scared that someone was attacking me and I almost started crying. Yup, I cry over EVERYTHING. I was glad Mr. R was with me though, because he was like, your car is the first one and it just was the one that got hit. We immediately got in and drove it to one of those car washes where you wash it yourself with quarters because we didn’t want it to dry.

Then it became more funny, and I wasn’t scared anymore. Mr. R washed the egg off by himself helped me wash the egg off, and I was in charge of changing the dials from soapy to power sprayer. Luckily, we saw it within like 10 minutes of the incident, so all it well with the Scion Tc again.

So other than that, the weekend was fun. Mr. R is now 26, and I got in a great 8 miler, my average pace was right around 8:39, and it felt really good. I also got new shoes. I got the Nike Volmeros for something new. I am going to break them in tonight at the gym and tomorrow morning with a nice easy 4 miler. I hope that they will help me with the problems that I’ve encountered with the balls of my feet hurting a lot. I have also done a lot of thinking while running and telling myself to go ‘heel toe, heel toe’ and that seems to help a little bit.

I worked a wedding this weekend, the first one that I’ve worked of the season and it went of without any problems, that was a relief. We have a few more coming up and I will try to remember to take more pictures at those ones. This weeks big news is that my little brother is turning 21 on Sunday! I am SO excited. This means that this weekend is going to be AMAZING. The fourth of July, and then his birthday! Hooray for Baby Koo being 21. That will equal a TON of pictures, so prepare yourself. Okay, I’ve dragged it out enough!

So let’s get to what you all want to know right off the bat, the answers to my quiz questions of course.

My favorite candy that I cannot resist is peanut butter M & Ms. They seem to have quite the following as many of you love them just as much as me. My biggest fear is getting hit by a car while running. It scares me that so many people are so oblivious when driving. I always make sure to make complete eye-contact with them before crossing the street. My real job is Account Executive in the Advertising field. My co-workers call me Lamar because I eat so much candy. My beloved arm warmers are pink. I normally run in Nikes, and my favorite place to eat fast food is Taco Bell. My finishing time for the marathon was 4:28 and I never eat lettuce. Though many of you picked chocolate for my guilty pleasure, it’s actually getting massages. Besides peanut butter m&ms, I very rarely eat chocolate.

Zensah is such a great brand and I LOVE their sports bra. It is hands down my favorite bra to run in and the most comfortable one I own. Also their arm warmers work amazing in the cooler months. I was a skeptic, but I love their stuffI would check out their site no matter what!

This week I’ll be posting my personal iPhone 3gS (s for sexy) review and possibly some other sweet reviews and random stuff. :) I also will of course let you guys know how my training is going and how I am going to be so sore from the gym tonight… :)

I checked out their website and I have to say I would probably go with the compression shorts, because I need something that won’t ride up thanks to the chub rub, and the arm sleeves are pretty awesome. I would probably go with those simply because it appears as though I’ll be training for another half marathon this winter and I get cold way too easily. I need layers and lots of them.

Cool Contest! Best of luck to everyone! I would love to get their sports bra. I have been reading so many great reviews about it and this would be a great opportunity to actually get one, considering finances are telling me I can’t buy one outright. Also the main reason I knew about this contest is because on my husband’s twitter he follows Zensah and he has been babbling about their calf guards and how bad he wants them, that is how I ended up finding out about their sports bra in the first place. I would like to get the sports bra, but there is no sizing information, so my guess is that the M/L wouldn’t fit, and would just be a waste of money. So I’d probably get the compression shorts, for sure. And maybe a beanie. I’ve always wanted a beanie!

Aww I’m sorry about your car, that happened to me once and my 3 yr old niece (at the time) saw it afterwards, she was so upset. She’s 6 yrs old now and still asks me about it, if the “Mean boys that hurt your car” got caught. I always tell her yes, even through I never found the punks.

I’m so glad to hear that you were able to clean the egg off your car without any problems. :-) My car got egged last November, when it was exactly 3 months since I had bought it, and it was 8:30 pm and 30 degrees out when I got out of work and found what had happened!

If I could choose any of Zensah’s products, I’d like one of their longsleeve compression shirts, because I need a longsleeve shirt made of that kind of fabric. All of mine are cotton, and in the winter, when it’s super cold and I still insist on running outside, all of the layers I wear are so bulky. One of the compression shirts would cut down on those layers and not chafe. I’d also love to try the running skirt, but I’d probably end up going with one of their sports bras, because I really need some more of them, and in your review, you mentioned that they support well but don’t constrict your breathing, which is awesome. I’m not sure if I’ve ever had one that could achieve both!

I will be getting a pair of leg sleeves. I have heard that they can be quite great for running and well if I can swim in them now we are talking.

I love me a new sportsbra – so I’d definitely be down for one of those. And then a running skirt since I hate the Lululemon ones I bought last year (gosh, why’d I pick up 2?) and think skirts cuter than shorts. Though I don’t like getting “chicked” by girls in skirts when I’m racing :)

That egg thing really ticked me off! I would have loved to have seen you two at the car wash, though! I can just see you playing with the dials! LOL Don’t you love how men can make us feel better and make it logical and not that everyone is out to get us? I love that!!
